Currently, Dr. Verma maintains an active clinical practice performing over 500 procedures per year. In addition he serves as a team physician for the Chicago White Sox and Chicago Bulls and Nazareth Academy. In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Verma is actively involved in orthopaedic research with interests in basic science, biomechanics and clinical outcomes, and has recently received funding for his work from Major League Baseball.
After graduating from the University of Notre Dame, Katie relocated to Chicago, IL and began working at Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush for Dr. Anthony Romeo in 2009 before attending PA school at Northwestern in 2010.
After graduating PA school, Katie rejoined Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush the summer of 2012. She currently serves as Dr. Verma’s physician assistant specializing in sports surgery focusing on knee, shoulder and elbow. Katie assists Dr. Verma in formulating diagnoses and treatment plans. She also provides surgical assistance and preoperative and postoperative patient education.
Katie currently lives in Chicago with her husband, Ryan, and her daughter.
Outside of the office, Brendan is active in his community and church. He helps organize and operate an annual basketball league and coaches little league baseball, which help to support underprivileged areas of Garfield Park. Brendan currently resides in Ukrainian Village of Chicago with his beautiful wife, Breanna. They recently married as of this past May, 2016.
Overall, Evelina enjoys the opportunity she has to help patients during clinic. She finds that the most rewarding aspect is working with such a dynamic and talented team. Currently, she is pursuing her Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Health Sciences with minor in Marketing.
