Dr. Verma performs shoulder replacement surgery at the Gold Coast Surgicenter, Chicago’s Premier same-day surgical center. The Gold Coast Surgicenter is one of two ambulatory surgery centers in the United States recognized as a Center of Excellence in Advanced Orthopedic Certification for Total Joints by the AAAHC (Accredited Association of Ambulatory Health Care). Ambulatory health care organizations seeking accreditation by AAAHC undergo an extensive self-assessment and on-site survey by AAAHC expert surveyors – physicians, nurses, and administrators who are actively involved in ambulatory health care. The survey is consultative and educational, presenting best practices to help an organization improve its care and services.
